AsiaIntervention – a review of the first year of publication

asiaintervention-submission-demographicsAsiaIntervention was officially launched this time last year during AsiaPCR/SingLIVE with the mission to be the reference academic journal By and For the Asia-Pacific interventional cardiology community.

Looking back over our first year, we are very happy to have achieved our first goals for the first volume. The primary goal was to encourage prospective authors to submit to our new journal. Although a dominant volume of submissions came via recommendations from EuroIntervention, we have noted a significant increase of direct submissions to AsiaIntervention. This growth in direct submissions may be partially justified by the launch of our digital media platforms, which was our secondary goal, including a dynamic website. The submission demographics are, we believe, a nice reflection of the journal’s mission.

This year’s primary goal is to achieve PubMed indexation for AsiaIntervention including retrospective indexing of all papers from 2015. We look forward to bringing the hopefully good news later this year.

And finally, as always, we cordially invite you to submit your work for consideration for publication in AsiaIntervention.
